Violet Jean Messer

Violet Jean Dull Messer, 64, formerly of 102 Wayne Avenue, Kannapolis, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at Big Elm Nursing Center Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Otis Snow will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at 102 Wayne Avenue, Kannapolis. Born April 18, 1940, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh M. Dull and Ruth McKnight Dull. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Eugene Messer. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Kay Crews of Kannapolis and Sherry Jean Brindle of Rockwell; a brother, Harold Dull of Eatonton, Georgia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Memorial United Methodist Church, 1100 West C Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
