Violet Mae Nance

Violet Mae Jones Nance, 87, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nance was born December 30, 1927 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late George Grady Jones and Lillian Lenora Ledbetter Jones. She worked for Linn-Corriher Mills as a dolpher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Nance; three daughters, Vivian Ryder, Lillian Williams and Bonnie Burleson; and son, John Nance.

Mrs. Nance is survived by two granddaughters, Johnnie Kay Melton of Greensboro and Tabatha Roseborough of Concord; grandson, Kent Ryder of; great granddaughter, Jessica Bazan; and great great grandson, Steven Javiere Bazandelao.
