Virginia Priscilla Blackwelder Deaver

Mrs. Virginia Priscilla Blackwelder Deaver, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J. R. Beaver will officiate. Interment is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deaver was born May 11, 1927 in China Grove. She was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Blackwelder and Laura Baker Blackwelder. She was a homemaker and later worked at Belk in Salisbury and at J.C. Penney in Concord. Mrs. Deaver was a member of Landis Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Fillmore Deaver, Sr.

Mrs. Deaver is survived by two sons, Bill Deaver and wife Linda and Kevin Deaver and wife Karen, both of China Grove; daughter, Laura Jackson and husband Rick of Salisbury; granddaughter, Kelli Deaver Bostian and husband Eric; grandson, John Matthew Jackson and fiancée Rachel Karriker; and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Nicole Bostian.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
