Cynthia, Sad that I never got the chance to meet your sweet Mom but felt like I did as you talked so much about her! Such a beautiful picture of her. May all the wonderful and beautiful memories of your Mom live in your hearts forever and bring you peace and comfort during this sad time. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. You are an amazing daughter! Sending you hugs and lots of love! Tony and Kathy Merlo
My dearest Cynthia,
I think we last spoke by phone 15 years ago? It doesn't matter, I'll always love and remember you and our junior high school friendship in Kannapolis. We lived between my house and yours. You (and your sweet mother) played a large roll in lifting me up when I needed it most. God sent you to me two months after my dad had died. Your "full of life" personality brought joy and laughter back to me. We discovered we had parallel universes, both had lost our fathers, both were the youngest in our families, and both our mothers LOVED to sew for us (they had to 'cause neither of us weighed 80 lbs soaking wet),, soon our moms became comrades too.
Cynthia,,your mom was a dear lady, she ran a great race and I know she's being greeted in Heaven by so many she had served in her lifetime. Please extend my prayers for peace to all she left behind.
And to you, dearest old friend, time is flying, but it will never separate the bond we shared. I know what you've just been through and I'm so sorry. Take a short rest,,,and know your memory lives in my heart.
Sending a BIG HUG,
Jan Nelson Powell

Cynthia, I never met your mother but I can see her beauty and strength living on through you. Prayers, thoughts and blessings to you and your family. We love you, Cher & Mike
Dear Brenda, William and Cynthia: My heart goes out to you all knowing you will miss your mother dearly, but knowing she is at peace and fully restored. I pray these next few days will reunite you with loved family and friends that reach out to you. May the Lord surround you with His peace and give you strength through your time of loss. My closest memory of Aunt Virginia was at Easter which we shared at Cynthia's house. That is such an extra special memory, because Carl was with us also. We all shared a wonderful meal together and the ride back to Plantation Estates. My mother was always good about making sure we went to visit Virginia, whether in Salsbury or in Matthews, when I was home. I am glad for the visits we had together and will always remember all the good desserts she brought to the Witmore reunions. Love you all. May sharing her life be a blessing and strength to you all. Love Barbara
Cynthia and I were bestie-friends living very close in the neighborhood ... through the years we've never lost touch, and able to be in each other's lives at the right moments from time to time. Lately, times have been recent and for that I'm grateful. Her mom was such fun, always with a beautiful smile for me. Mrs. Rainwater was a staple in Franklin Heights and she's always remembered in their prayers.
In mine, Cynthia for you and your family 🤗🙏
I will miss my sweet Mother-In-Law who I dearly loved. She was a kind and caring woman. I take comfort in knowing she's in Heaven reunited with her family she loved and missed so much. ❤️
Brenda, William, Cynthia and families, you are in our hearts and prayers. We love you all and we love your Mother very much. I am so thankful for the wonderful memories we shared with Aunt Virginia. She always made me feel so special. She made everyone feel special..that was her gift..full of love, gentleness, kindness, and compassion. She has a servants heart and I can imagine she is serving in heaven now. She impacted my life is a big way and I am forever grateful. You all are a reflection of her. Her legacy is in the love and teaching she poured into our lives. I am going to miss her so much but so glad that one day we will see each other again. God bless you with His peace and comfort.
