W. A. Mcdonald, Jr.

Mr. W. A. "Junior" McDonald, Jr., 68, of 110 Kidd Street, Kannapolis, died Friday, August 25, 2006, at his residence. Born August 26, 1937, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late William Archie McDonald and Carrie Jane Parnell McDonald. He retired several years ago from the slasher room of Fieldcrest Cannon, Swink Plant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Garmon; and four brothers, Marvin McDonald, Jack McDonald, Coy McDonald and Leroy McDonald. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Burkett of China Grove; three sisters, Margaret Foutz of Rockwell, Sara Singleton of Morganton, Maggie Page of Concord; two brothers, Ernest McDonald of Concord, Archie McDonald of China Grove; and three grandchildren, Alisha Taylor, Katie Burkett and Isaiah Burkett.
