Wade J. Mcdonald

Mr. Wade J. McDonald, 79, of 6161 Old Concord-Salisbury Road, died Monday, January 30, 2006, at Universal Health Care. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Hatley officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. McDonald was born March 3, 1926, in Concord, the son of the late Arthur McDonald and Dora Hartsell McDonald. He retired from Cannon Mills and Collins and Aikman and was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. Mr. McDonald was a veteran of World War II. Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Betty B. McDonald; stepdaughters, Joyce Doby, Nancy Page and husband, Warren, and Joy Watson and husband, Chris; stepsons, Wallace Tucker and Rick Phillips and wife, Tina; sister, Ruby Quandt of Parris, Ill.; and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
