On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, America lost a true patriot when 20-year veteran of the US Air Force, Master Sergeant Wallace Wade Keever, died in hospice care. A man devoted to God, his family, and his country; Wade was talented, intelligent, loving, and positive. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, especially by his family.
Wade was born July 19, 1943 at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. At the age of 12, he trusted Jesus as his Savior. Although he and his wife, Judy, attended two different high schools, they met on a blind date and were married in 1962. As they moved from base to base through the years, Wade made it a priority to find a Bible-believing church to join at each location. He and Judy served faithfully in every church they attended, including Bible Baptist Church where they have been members for forty years.
He was the only child of the late Edison M. Keever and Rosa Lee Smith Keever. He is survived by his wife, Judy Martin Keever; daughters, Kym Keever of Kannapolis, Kelly McClure and husband Rex, of Powell, TN; and son, Kevin Keever of Kannapolis, NC. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Daniel McClure, Matthew McClure and wife Machayla, Kylei Keever, Katie West and husband Braden, Chip Keever and one great-grandchild Matthew Rex McClure.
If desired, memorials may be sent to the ministry where Chip Keever is currently serving to reach college students in Utah for the Lord.
•Electronic payments may be sent to shorturl.at/aq7d7 which is a link to donate to 801 College General Fund. (801 College is the name of the ministry).
• Checks should be made out to Redemption Church with 801 College General Fund in the note line. These may be mailed to 585 39th Street, South Ogden, UT 84403.
All are welcome to attend his burial service with Military Honors scheduled on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 12:30 pm at the Committal Service Shelter at Salisbury National Cemetery on Statesville Boulevard. Afterward, at 2:30 pm, his memorial service will be held at Bible Baptist Church, 2724 Margaret Wallace Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 with Pastor Ron Allen officiating.
