Walter James Little

June 13, 1919 — November 2, 2003

Mr. Walter James Little, 84, a resident of Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis, and formerly of S. Ridge Avenue in Kannapolis, died Sunday, November 2, 2003, at NorthEast Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4695 Mt. Pleasant Road, Concord. The Rev. Bill Cranfield will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a sister, Fannie Mae Sherrill, 2100 West C Street, Kannapolis. Born June 13, 1919, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Henry Calvin Little and Mary Lou Hough Little. He retired several years ago from Cannon Mills, Plant Six. Mr. Little was a veteran of the US Army and served in Germany during World War II. Survivors include a sister, Fannie Mae Sherrill of Kannapolis; and a brother, Archie R. Little and his wife, Betty, of Concord.
