Mr. Walter Chad Smith, Sr., 50, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Smith was born October 24, 1965 in Concord. He was son of Tina Chastain Ludwick of Kannapolis and the late Walter Fred Smith. He worked in the roofing business all his life.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cassandra Tucker Smith; two sons, Walter Chad Smith, Jr. of Kannapolis and Walker Chase Smith and fiancée Hanna Bradley of Salisbury; a brother, Clint Ludwick and wife Erica of Concord; and one grandson, Noah Liam-Chase Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lady’s Funeral Home & Crematory, 268 N. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 to assist with expenses.
