Wanda Kay Loftis

Ms. Wanda Kay Loftis, 79, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, at Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Burleyson will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:15 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Ms. Loftis was born October 9, 1931 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Eber Loftis, Sr. and Nancy Masengill Loftis. She retired from Corriher Linn Mills in Landis and formerly worked at Cannon Mills. She was a member of Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Reid Loftis and Clarence Loftis, Jr.; and one sister, Doris Grimes. Ms. Loftis is survived by two sisters, Fern Loftis of Kannapolis and Nora Loftis of China Grove and several nieces and nephews.
