What an inspiration Mr. Larson?s life must be to his family and friends! His life was short yet he fulfilled lifetime dreams and didn?t let failing health stop him from being active and being part of his children?s lives. What a legacy to leave behind.
Death is truly an enemy of life. It robs us of time we desire to have with our friends and family. It is unnatural because God put time indefinite into our hearts. We want to live, yet illness robs us of the reality of these desires. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
At this time it helps to draw close to God and read his word the Bible for comfort. Mr. Larson was an active member of his church and must have found comfort for himself from God?s word. Now it is time for you to do the same. God?s word promises a resurrection for all those asleep in death. This promise is recorded for us at John 5:28,29. Jesus demonstrated the joy this resurrection would bring to those left behind when he resurrected his beloved friend Lazarus. (John 11:11-44) Imagine having Wayne returned to his family and friends here on earth just as Lazarus was returned to his sisters Martha and Mary. This resurrection and the resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us confidence in the bible?s promise that the dead in God?s memory will awake from their ?sleep? (Revelation 20:12,13 , Revelation 21:4) I hope you can take some quiet time to look up the above scriptures and reflect on these words given to us by the Almighty God. I hope this has given you some hope and comfort. My prayers are with you.
