Mr. William "Bill" Benton Bowman, 90, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at his home in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Friday, July 24, 2026, at West A Tabernacle Baptist Church. Pastor Rodney Efird will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Friday at West A Tabernacle Baptist Church.

William was born June 8, 1936 in Graham. He was a son of the late James Scarborough and Bertha Bowman. Bill was a manager for Carolina Mall. He was a member of West A Tabernacle Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Bill loved to play and talk about golf, and was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Julia Reeves; and three brothers, James, J.A., and Jack Bowman.

William is survived by wife, Joyce Carol Tucker Bowman; daughter, Terri Bowman of Burlington; two step-children, Christine Garris and husband Dale of Concord, and John A. Livengood, III of Salisbury; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
