William Lewis Lawing

Mr. William Lewis Lawing, 56, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Lawing was born January 17, 1965 in Portsmouth, VA. He was a son of Sandra Kay Wiggins Lawing of Kannapolis and the late David Luther Lawing. He was of the Baptist faith. Lewis enjoyed telling stories, traveling, and was an avid Tarheel fan. He enjoyed making people laugh. Mr. Lawing worked as a disc jockey.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Lawing is survived by daughter, Kendell Lawing of Hernando, MS; son, Dylan Lawing of Raleigh; and brother, Robert Wayne Lawing of Charlotte.
