William Noel Nunn

Mr. William Noel Nunn, 93, a resident of Five Oaks Manor and formerly of 610 East 12th Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, October 21, 2002, at Five Oaks Manor. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tom Snipes will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes. Mr. Nunn was born February 24, 1909 in Patrick County, VA. He was a son of the late Sam Nunn and Mary Jane Craddock Nunn. He lived in this area most of his life and retired 31 years ago from the spinning room of Cannon Mills, Plant One in Kannapolis. He attended Kannapolis Foursquare Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Pauline Sloop Nunn, on July 5, 1998. Mr. Nunn is survived by two sons, Bill Nunn of Concord and Lanny Nunn of Kannapolis; sister, Lucy Hoard of Kannapolis; three grandchildren, Carie Irving, Susan Pless, and Michael Nunn; four great grandchildren, Hanna Pless, Scott Pless, Fred Irving, and Ellie Irving.
