William Thomas Reynolds

Mr. William Thomas "Bill" Reynolds, 94, of Kannapolis, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Tucker Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 West A Street, Kannapolis. The Rev. Sam Crisp and the Rev. James Griffin will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church. At other times, they will be at the home of his daughter, Billie Huffstetler. Born September 4, 1915 in Rockingham, he was the son of the late Claude C. Reynolds and Henrietta Elizabeth Rainwater Reynolds. He retired 24 years ago from the lab at Linn Corriher Mill in Landis. Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Kannapolis Church of God, where he was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Daniel Reynolds; a daughter, Nedra Reynolds Benton; two sisters, Eva Gatton and Louise Johnson; and three brothers, Dan Reynolds, Frank Reynolds and Edward Reynolds. Survivors include a daughter, Billie Reynolds Huffstetler and husband, Mike, of Concord; son-in-law, Randall Benton and wife, Ida, of Derby, Kansas; three granddaughters, Robin Benton of Monument, CO, Michelle Foster and husband, Mike, of Kannapolis, Beth Ferriss and husband, Jon, of Concord; and six great-grandchildren, Nedra and Larren Hauck, Maggie and Marc Foster, William and Ava Ferriss.
