William Augustus Sprinkle

Mr. William Augustus "Bill" Sprinkle, 89, of 138 Crepe Myrtle Lane, China Grove, died Friday, December 31, 2004, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. Michael Comer will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. Born September 27, 1915, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of the late John P. Sprinkle and Lollie Schenck Sprinkle. He retired several years ago as a truck driver and formerly worked for Cannon Mills. Following retirement, he worked as a security guard at Carolina Mall in Concord. He was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and served in the US Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ramelle Deese Sprinkle; a daughter, Lisa Sprinkle Burgess and her husband, Neil, of China Grove; a son, John W. Sprinkle and his wife, Helen, of Rockwell; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
