William Travis Vinson Sr.

Mr. William Travis Vinson, Sr., 74, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Vinson was born November 14, 1942 in Madison County, GA. He was a son of the late Benjamin Vinson and Annie Maybelle Graham Vinson. He retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon where he was a machine technician. He enjoyed fishing and working on tractors.

Mr. Vinson is survived by his wife, Brenda Kay Farrell Vinson; two sons, William T. "Junior" Vinson, Jr. and wife Anita of Salisbury and David E. Vinson and wife Stephanie of Faith; three sisters, Virginia Ruth Vinson of China Grove, Alice Faye Hall and Betty Lou Angland, both of Georgia; brother, Leon E. Vinson of Kannapolis; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
