Mr. William "Bill" Walter Gladden, 87, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Concord Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Scottie Deal and Dr. Donald Gray will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Mr. Gladden was born January 17, 1931 in Walker County, GA. He was a son of the late Walter Baker Gladden and Hazel Thompson Gladden. He was an active member and Head Elder of Concord Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years. Mr. Gladden was a veteran of the United States Navy. He owned and operated Gladden Vending Supply Company in Kannapolis until he retired.
Mr. Gladden is survived by his wife, Matina Harmon Gladden; three sons, Steve Gladden and wife Carol of Mt. Gilead, Mike Gladden and wife Becky of Mooresville and Tim Gladden of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
