William Barnette Wood

Mr. William Barnette Wood, 92, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at W. G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Bost will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.

Mr. Wood was born May 8, 1923 in Westminster, SC. He was the son of the late Barnette Hill Wood and Maude Shellnut Wood. He worked for as head fixer for Cannon Mills.

Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Hilda Wood; three sons, Gary Wood, and wife, Jane; Tony Wood, and wife Donna; and Tim Wood, all of Kannapolis, NC.
