Willie Marjorie Moffitt

Mrs. Willie Marjorie Patterson Moffitt, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 28, 2012.

She was born May 4, 1926 to the late Otha Alexander Patterson and Ruth Cline Patterson. A graduate of Landis High School, she retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon in 1988. She was devoted to her family and faithfully served as a caregiver to her husband and her mother.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe R. Moffitt; daughter, Sherry M. Bowlin; three sisters, Bernice Patterson, Grace Aldridge and Faye Sartain.

She is survived by her son Charlie Moffitt and wife Carol; four grandchildren, Tina Nance, Brian Moffitt and wife Candice, Chris Moffitt and wife Summer, and Sarah Lowery and husband Chris; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Claude Patterson and wife Mildred and Buddy Patterson.

The family will recieve friends at Lady's Funeral Home from 1 to 2:30 pm Sunday. Services will follow at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 pm and will be officiated by Pastor Curtis Davis. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
