Willie Frances Shaver

Mrs. Willie Frances Canup Shaver, 80, of 6600 Miller Road, Kannapolis, died Saturday, January 28, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center. A graveside service with interment to follow will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born May 29, 1925 in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late William Canup and Pearlie Mae Lefler Canup. She was retired from the Towel Packaging Department of Cannon Mills and also Sam's Food Center. She was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Everette Shaver. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Samuel E. "Sam" Shaver; three sisters, Oleta Wright of China Grove, Garnell Thompson of Kannapolis and Johnsie Dunn of Greenville, SC; a brother, James "Jimmy" Canup of Landis; a granddaughter, Carla Lynn Furr of Kannapolis; two great-granddaughters, Autumn Furr and Madison Furr; and several nieces and nephews.
