Willis Edward Kerley

March 15, 1922 — July 24, 2016

Mr. Willis Edward Kerley, 94, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Salisbury VA Hospital Hospice.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Kerley was born March 15, 1922 in Alexander County, NC. He was the son of the late Daniel Kerley and Maude Bumgarner Kerley. He worked for Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as a packer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in World War II. Mr. Kerley was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and a teller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Kerley.

Mr. Kerley is survived by son, Danny Kerley.
