Wilma Almira Witherspoon Earnhardt

Mrs. Wilma Almira Earnhardt, 84, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Genesis Eldercare (Salisbury Center) in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Ron Haithcock will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Earnhardt was born February 21, 1933 in Sumter, SC. She was a daughter of the late Lewis Witherspoon and Rosie Smyre Witherspoon. She was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. She previously worked for Big Elm Nursing Center in Kannapolis as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later worked in home healthcare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Sheila Earnhardt; two sisters, Wandeline Ranson and Dorothy Baker; and one brother, Herbert Junior Witherspoon.

Mrs. Earnhardt is survived by husband, Henderson "Leroy" Earnhardt; son, Craig Earnhardt and wife, Sherry of Salisbury; daughter, Almira E. Easterling and husband, Ron of Kannapolis; and three grandchildren, Marie Easterling, Shelia Easterling and Nathan Easterling, all of Kannapolis.
