Worth Allen Orvin, Sr.

Mr. Worth Allen Orvin, Sr., 87, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Doug Hardin will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Orvin was born October 5, 1938 in Lumberton. He was a son of the late Carnell R. Orvin and Annie Mae Bundy Orvin. He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Dashiell. He later went on to work at Fiber Industries. Mr. Orvin also was in Scouting for 45 years in Kannapolis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Worth Allen Orvin, Jr.; and sister, Kathleen Shankle.

Mr. Orvin is survived by two sons, Dwight Dale Orvin and Charles Lee Orvin; long time friend and caregiver, Barbara Dunnmon, and her daughter, Dianne Gossett.
