Dearest Annie,
We are so sorry for your loss and you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I have many great memories of you and Roy and I wanted to share some of them with you. I will always remember Roy Mills with a smile! He was always a very kind and generous man from the first time I met him, which is now about 30 years ago. I remember many times, when you lived here in the Winecoff community, that Sammy and I would stop by. We would always be invited in, many times we would sit around the dining table, talk, have a glass of tea. Often times you would also share a meal with us; some planned, but many were spur of the moment ones. Your hospitality was endless and you always shared what you had. I will always remember how beautiful the flowers were that you and Roy did for our wedding. You and Roy were there to help welcome our first baby to the world by providing the most beautiful table decorations and flowers at our baby shower. I also remember Roy coming to the rescue the only time I had a flat tire in my life! It was after dark one winter night and Sammy was at work. I had both the girls with me (Stacey was 2, and Hannah was 6 months old) on Mount Olivet Road when I hit a pot hole and my front right tire went immediately flat. I called Roy and you were in the middle of eating supper, but he said he would be right there. He and Doug were there within a matter of minutes and they changed my tire for me. Roy Mills was a good man and a good friend, and I know he will be missed by many. I am so sorry for your loss, and that we weren't able to see you as much since you moved up to the river. I will always cherish the memories. Please know that you and your family are thought of and loved by many. We love you all!
Lisa and Sammy
