Mrs. Shelia Renee Leonard Burgdoff, 61, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Nathan Hammill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Burgdoff was born September 16, 1958 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Eddie Carroll Leonard and Betty Jean Fritz Wilson. Her hobbies included farming, riding horses, sewing, crocheting and working with her farm animals. She loved the beach, which was her happy place and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents who helped raise her, Luther Calvin Leonard and Dorothy Nathilee Greene Leonard. Mrs. Burgdoff is survived by her husband, Donald Allen Burgdoff; daughter, Alisha Marie Pruitte of China Grove; son, Kevin Dale Menius of Landis; step-daughter, Danielle Marie Burgdoff; step-son, Daniel Allen Burgdoff; four sisters, Michell Deaton, Debora Peeler, Janet Patty and Carol Griffin; and four grandchildren, McKenzie, Cohyn, Dylan and Aria.
