Adam Pinkney Sills, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Adam Pinkney Sills, Jr., 87, of Venus Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, December 12, 2005 at NorthEast Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2005, at First Baptist Church, Kannapolis. Dr. Thomas Cabaniss will officiate. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Salisbury.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m Thursday prior to the service.
Born December 20, 1917 in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Adam and Laura Sills. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kannapolis and retired from Cone Mills in Salisbury after 53 years of employment. Mr. Sill was a US Army veteran having served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Sills; three sons, Steve Sills and wife, Phyllis, of Charlotte, Richard Sills and wife, Lynnette, of Asheville and Eric Sills and wife, Denise, of Chapel Hill; a sister, Georgia Brown Bolden of Salisbury; and five grandchildren.
