Addie Honbarier Lyerly's Obituary
Mrs. Addie Honbarier Lyerly, 92, of 206 Overcash Avenue, Kannapolis, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Best of Care Rest Home.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Bethpage United Methodist Church. The Rev. Randy Foster and the Rev. Fred Hill will officiate.
The family will greet friends at the church following the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born April 12, 1912, in Davidson County, she was a daughter of the late Love Honbarier and Ida Coppley Honbarier. She had lived in this area most of her life and retired several years ago from the sheet department of Cannon Mills where she was employed for 52 years. She was a member of Bethpage United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and White Shrine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry J. Lyerly, who died May 20, 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice L. Keever of Kannapolis; a sister, Clara Taylor of Denton; four grandchildren, Harry E. Greene, Jr., with whom she made her home, Chris Greene of Kannapolis, Linda Childress of Charlotte and Myra Kautsky of Naples, FL; six great-grandchildren, Melissa Kaminski of Satellite Beach, FL, Blake Greene of Tallahassee, FL, Devon Greene of Athens, GA, Scott Childress and Joel Childress of Charlotte and Heather Childress of Hickory; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Bethpage United Methodist Church, 109 Fellowship Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
