Alice Erwin Bonds' Obituary
Mrs. Alice Erwin Bonds, 92, a resident of Concord Place in Concord, and formerly of South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, died Saturday, February 1, 2003, at University Hospital in Charlotte.
A memorial service will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born April 16, 1910, in Yazoo County, Mississippi, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Holmes Erwin and the late Eunice Martin Erwin. Mrs. Bonds retired in 1972 from the sample department of Cannon Mills Plant One. She had lived in this since 1920 and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her husband, Benny Robert Bonds, preceded her in death on December 23, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Kaye B. Overcash and her husband, Harvey, of Harrisburg, and Margie B. Belk of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
