It is difficult to express how we felt about Al. In some ways he was like a brother and in other ways he was a father image. His wisdom and generosity will be missed greatly by Linda and I. We try to think of all the good times we had together. Going to Cherry Grove. Playing golf. And of course all the good times we had sharing at church and other places. We can truly say our lives have been enriched having known such a fine Christian gentleman. Your entire family is precious to us. We are honored to have a part in this memorial service. Pastor Roger
Words can not express the loss we feel, and the love we had for Al. I can truly say Al was one of the finest example of a Christian man I know of. He was always faithful and dedicated to his Lord, and he exuded the love of God through his smile and the love he shared with everyone he met. I never saw him in a bad mood, he was always smiling. His countenace showed he was filled with God's love. I will always remember how good he was to us. He was a kind and loving man, always willing to help others in any way he could. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him and I feel truly blessed to have known him in my lifetime. You had to feel good when you were in his presence because his smile lit up the entire room and you couldn't help but smile also. He leaves a great legacy to his family and us all of what a true Christian is, and what we should do for the Lord in our words and in our actions every day. He was a Bible-toting, faith-walking man of God if there ever was one. We loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed, but our Bible tells us we will see him again in the kingdom, and it is imperative that we live our lives as he did to make that happen for us. I know when he awakes on that day when Jesus returns, he will be where he has always longed to be, in the presence of our Lord and Saviour to live with him forever and ever, never no more to pass away. We love you all and are praying God's peace and comfort on you through these trying days of the loss of your loved one. We will be here for any of you if you ever need us for ANYTHING!!!!! Linda
Wish I could attend. I'm so sorry for your lose. Mr. Al was a Great man, and I am very fortunate to have met him. Just rest assured that he is now waiting on the rest of us in the most beautiful place ever!!! HEAVEN! Please know that my prayers are with the family to help you be strong! Becky, David, Steve, Jennifer & your extended families...we are praying for your family during this difficult time. Becky, Al was such a beautiful role model for so many people to follow. He was gentle and kind and loving to all he met. Jesus truly shone through Al and everyone felt the true love Al had for people, all people. We pray for you, Steve, Lori, David, Sharon, Jennifer, and of course the grands, that the memories will be kept of all of the good times spent with Al.
