Andy Junior Akers' Obituary
Mr. Andy Junior Akers, 76, formerly of China Grove, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, in Wellford, SC.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, December 28, 2020, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Mr. Akers was born January 20, 1944 in Pikeville, KY. He was one of eight brothers and one sister born to the late Andy Akers and Octava White Akers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Akers is survived by two sons, Andy Akers and wife Jen of Carmel, IN and Matt Akers of Wellford, SC; daughter, Catherine Greene and husband Chuck of Cary; step-son, Avery Starnes; step-daughter, Donna Wright and husband Joey, both of China Grove; brother, Fred Akers of Ohio; and six grandchildren.
