Ann Lucille Steel's Obituary
Mrs. Ann Lucille Gibson Steel, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 2, 2014, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm Monday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Steel was born October 22, 1925 in Huntersville. She was a daughter of the late George Henry Gibson and Eva Lee Woodard Jackson. She worked as a weaver for 55 years at Cannon Mills. She enjoyed playing Bingo and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Steel is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Pierce and husband Michael of Ruby, SC; two sons, James H. Earl of China Grove and John C. Earl and wife Celeste of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and her special canine companion, Peanut.
