Arlie Jason Stirewalt's Obituary
Arlie Jason Stirewalt, 90, peacefully moved on to his heavenly home from the Hospice House of Cabarrus County on July 4, 2008. He joins his wife of 56 years, Barbara Bogan Stirewalt, who passed on April 19, 2006.
Mr. Stirewalt was born May 28, 1918, son of the late George Henry Stirewalt and Effie Yost Stirewalt. He grew up in the Ebenezer farming community of Rowan County and served in the U.S. Army for four years in the European theater of WWII. He retired from Cannon Mills. Mr. Stirewalt always showed his deep love for his family and his Lord. He enjoyed gardening and gospel music, and was a member of Victory Temple Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Posey officiating. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include son Nathan Brenn Stirewalt of Kannapolis; daughter, Martha Stirewalt Walters and son-in-law, Richard Walters of Concord; sister-in-law, Sandra Haynes of Concord; and several nieces.
