Barbara Harrill Graham's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Harrill Graham, 77, of Morehead Road, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Wilora Lake Healthcare Center in Charlotte.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, January 20, 2012, at Harrisburg United Methodist Church. Rev. Wesley Smith and Rev. Toni Ruth Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Friday at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Graham was born August 3, 1934 in Lincolnton. She was a daughter of the late Dr. Charlie Hewitt Harrill, Sr. and Laura Lockwood Dry Harrill. She worked as a realtor for many years with Morgan Realty in Harrisburg. Prior to that, she ran an in home daycare and was a second mommy to the many children that attended her daycare center. She was a very active member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church being a member since 1978 and a member of the Morning Glories Women's group at the church. She was a contributor and one of the decision makers during the expansion project at her church. She managed a food booth as a fundraiser for the church at the Cabarrus County Fair for over 20 years. She also helped organize the July 4th parade in Harrisburg that was eventually taken over by the city.
Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald "Don" Graham; and brother, Charlie Hewitt "Hu" Harrill, Jr. and wife, Sherril of Charlotte.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisburg United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4560 Highway 49 South, Harrisburg, NC 28075.
