Belle Barrier Cline's Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Belle Barrier Cline, 82, formerly of Greenview Drive, Kannapolis and Morningside Assisted Living, Concord, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Universal Healthcare in Concord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel The Rev. Kim Trabold will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times, they will be at their respective homes.
Born January 15, 1926 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late George William Barrier and Virgie Irene Drye Barrier. She retired from Cannon Mills, Plant One, where she was a weaver for 50 years. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, where she formerly served as financial secretary, taught Sunday school for over 30 years, was a member of the choir for more than 50 years. She also held various positions with the Lutheran Women of the church. Belle was a former member of TOPS in Concord. She served her neighborhood as coordinator of the flower fund in the Greenview Drive community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 48 years, Billy Leon Cline, who died February 1991; and eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Baucom and husband James, of Midland, Debbie Joyner and husband, Langley, of Concord; two sisters, Nell Moose and husband, L.G., of Rockwell, Mae Bost of Rockwell; two brothers, Martin Barrier and wife, Bernice, of Myrtle Beach, SC, John Barrier and wife, Mary, of Concord; brother-in-law, Tommy Belk of Concord; two grandsons, Michael Baucom and wife, Christy, David Baucom and wife, Vanessa; and five great-grandchildren, Dallas Baucom, Dawson Baucom, Dylan Baucom, Maeve Baucom and Maggie Baucom.
The family expresses special thanks to Angela Trull, owner of Carolina Home Care, and her staff, Pam Hackney, Grace Deweese, Sarah Stone, Susan Boger, Erin Derr and Diane Bowman, for the excellent care that Belle received. They also thank the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, for the wonderful care that they provided.
