Benjamin "Ben" Harold Fisher's Obituary
Mr. Benjamin "Ben" Harold Fisher, 102, of Concord passed away at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis on Thursday, July 13, 2017.
Ben was born January 13, 1915 and spent most of his life in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Caleb Alexander Fisher and the late Martha Isenhour Fisher. Ben was a member of Midway United Methodist Church in Kannapolis. He was a machinist by trade and enjoyed talking about his work accomplishments. Ben enjoyed woodworking and left in hands to enjoy cedar chests, gun cases, stools, trains and other items. Ben was a mason for more than 50 years and was a member of the Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626 A.F & A. M.
The family will receive friends at the Lady’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 6 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Midway United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Collins and Rev. Dave Cash will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Ben, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Fisher and a daughter, Madalene Smith.
Ben is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Lonnie) Seaford of Concord; son, Gray (Laura) Fisher of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Pam (Mike) Stone, Chuck (Kim) Smith, Doyle (Bridget) Smith, Dawn (Jon) Corriher, Adam Fisher and Bryan Fisher; and five great grandchildren, Devin Smith, Justin Stone, Dylan Smith, Braxton and Ryley Corriher.

Thanks also to the kind volunteers from Cabarrus Meals on Wheels who brought a “ray of sunshine” along with his lunch each day.
