Betty Lee Henderson Deal's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Lee Henderson Deal of China Grove, NC passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on February 1st, 2025.
Mrs. Deal was born June 8, 1930 in Inman, SC. She was the daughter of late John G. Henderson and Nola Keever Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother Gary L. Henderson.
A graveside service is scheduled for 12:30 pm Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery. Rev. William Van Weiren III will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 am Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Deal graduated Salutatorian from Winecoff High School in Concord, NC. She was employed at Williams Office Supply in Kannapolis, NC for over 50 years and partnered with her husband Ken to run South Rowan Feed and Supplies in China Grove, NC. Member of First United Methodist Church in China Grove, NC and Williams Sunday School Class she served on various committees over the years as well as Junior and Senior High Groups. She enjoyed her one and only granddaughter, reading, cooking for family and working in her gardens outside. She loved her family and friends with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth (Ken) Deal, whom she married on April 5, 1952.
Surviving family includes son Michael Deal and daughter-in-law Donna Deal of China Grove, granddaughter Leah Deal and her boyfriend Todd Wilson of China Grove, NC, nieces Ann Henderlight, Lynn Crowell, Renee Gray, all of Knoxville, TN, nephews Doug Henderson of Waterloo, IA and Mark Henderson of Knoxville, TN, sister-in-law Carol Brooks (Aaron), nieces Susan Helms and Crystal Hankins of Albemarle, NC and nephew Anthony Brooks of Albemarle, NC.
Many thanks to Five Oaks Rehabilitation and Care Center and the staff that helped care for our Mother and Nana. Also thanks to the VIA Health Partners Hospice Group that cared for her in these last days.
