Beverly Cobb Chisholm's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Cobb Chisholm, 74, a resident of the Jackson Park community in Kannapolis, died Thursday, February 12, 2009, at CMC-NorthEast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Jackson Park United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chuck Halipilias and the Rev. Larry Barden will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home.
Born September 11, 1934 in Rowan County, Mrs. Chisholm was the daughter of the late Stowe B. Cobb, Sr. and Evelyn Sweatt Cobb. She graduated from A.L. Brown High School and attended High Point College. She retired in 1996 from the trust department of Wachovia Bank in Charlotte. She formerly worked for 33 years in the advertising department at Cannon Mills. Beverly was an active member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Jet Set and Emmaus Community. She loved her church family and enjoyed the praise and worship service.
Survivors include her husband, Franklin D. Chisholm; daughter, Jo Anne Golaz of Joshua, TX; two sons, Tim Chisholm and wife Tamara of Rockwell, Mike Chisholm of Kannapolis; three brothers, Stowe B. Cobb, Jr. and wife, Karen, and George Cobb and wife, Linda, all of Concord, Phillip Cobb and wife, Lynda, of Kannapolis; a sister Cindy Ross; two granddaughters, Melissa Everett of Joshua, TX, Ashlyn Hunsucker and husband, Sam, of Rogersville, MO; and an uncle, Alfred Sweatt of Rocky Mount.
