Bobby Parks Cook's Obituary
Mr. Bobby Parks Cook, 81, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Rodgers Park Baptist Church. Rev. Joel Ervin will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm Saturday at Rodgers Park Baptist Church.
Mr. Cook was born February 24, 1936 in Iredell County. He was a son of the late Park Cook and Oni Cook. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church but attended Crown Point Baptist Church prior to his illness. Bobby enjoyed watching TV, especially westerns. He also enjoyed coaching basketball. Bobby was the quarterback for the new A.L. Brown High School, where he graduated.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Faye Kelly.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Dancy Cook; two sons, Brian Cook and wife Tonya of Concord and Robin Cook of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Barry Neal Kelly; sister-in-law, Jean Dancy; niece, Kelly Dancy; seven grandchildren, Matthew Bragg and wife Kristen, Angela Kelly, and Katie, Cameron, Andrew, Nathan and Elizabeth Cook; and one great grandchild, Jonah Bragg.
