Bobby Lee Hatley's Obituary
Mr. Bobby Lee "Ben" Hatley, 76, of Gregory Road, Rockwell, died Friday, February 1, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Mary Hatley will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born May 11, 1931 in Cabarrus County, Mr. Hatley was the son of Cora Belle Barnhardt of Kannapolis. He retired in 1989 from the City of Concord, where he was an assistant supervisor in the public works department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Hatley was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ailleen Drye Hatley, who died December 31, 2003.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include two daughters, Karen Hatley Fournier and husband, Bobby, Becky Hatley Lewis and husband, John; two sons, Charles "Matt" Hatley and wife, Mary, and Mark Anthony Hatley; a sister, Lillie Hilliard of Salisbury; one brother, Bob Barnhardt of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the CMC-NorthEast ICU and Intermediate Care nurses, Emergency Room staff, Respiratory staff and the Emergency Medical Technicians, for the excellent care their loved-one received.
