Boune Thongkenekeo's Obituary
Mr. Boune Thongkenekeo, 84, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8:00 pm, Friday, October 12, 2012 at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Thongkenekeo was born on August 4, 1928 in Laos. He was the son of the late Khan Thongkenekeo and Khoume Thongkenekeo. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon where he worked as a towel cutter. Mr. Thongkenekeo was a farmer in Laos, where he also served villages as a physicians assistant. He was known for a big heart and helped people at their time of need. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Mr. Thongkenekeo enjoyed fishing and caring for his farm animals.
Mr. Thongkenekeo is survived by his wife, Sou Syhavong Thongkenekeo of Kannapolis; daughters, Sone Chamangan of Kannapolis, Amphone Thasy of Troutman, Bouathong Shaunfield of China Grove and Vathsana Honbarger of Salisbury; son, Don Thongkenekeo of Kannapolis,; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
