Buddie Maynard's Obituary
Mr. Buddie Maynard, 52, of 430 Pethel Road, China Grove, died unexpectedly Monday, November 24, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
On Friday, November 28, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted immediately following at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Maynard Family Cemetery in Hot Springs, NC. At other times, the family will be at home.
Born August 24, 1956 in Cocke County, TN, he was the son of the late Vinson Maynard and Louise Stiles Maynard. He was employed as a delivery driver for Dade Paper Company of Greensboro. He formerly worked for Fieldcrest-Cannon for nearly 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Adams Maynard; three sons, Bobby Vinson Maynard and wife Melissa of Clayton, Kenny Wortman and wife Melody of Concord, Greg Wortman and wife Jen of Lynn, MA; a daughter, Holly Steed and husband Bill of Concord; three sisters, Betty Jo Nease and husband Roger, Christine Maynard and Beulah Mae Maynard, all of Newport, TN; three brothers, Johnny Maynard and wife Patricia of Newport, TN, J.L. Maynard and wife Janie of Del Rio, TN, R.V. Maynard of Parrottsville, TN; nine grandchildren who adored him, Logan Maynard, Emma Maynard, Kayla Maynard, Nicole Steed, Megan Steed, Dylan Steed, Grayson Wortman, Hannah Morrison and Connor Morrison; two nieces, Deborah Maynard and Tammy Stiers; and two nephews, John Maynard and James Maynard.
