Carl Dillon Alexander's Obituary
Mr. Carl Dillon Alexander, 74, of 476 Wilhelm Place NE, Concord, died Monday, December 6, 2004, at Avante at Concord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at Epworth United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Christy will officiate. Interment will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the church.
Born November 3, 1930 in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late William Dewey Alexander and Henrietta Deas Alexander. He was a retired employee of Widenhouse Services and Central Distributing Company. He formerly ran Wilmar Shell Service Station. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge Military Academy where he was a recipient of the American Spirit of Honor Medal. He was a veteran of the US Army and was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Jenkins Alexander, who died March 3, 1992; and a brother, Eugene Alexander.
Survivors include his daughter, Jane Alexander Hurlocker and her husband, Randy, of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Margaret Hudson of Eugene, Oregon, Melba Seaford of Yorktown, Virginia and Phyllis Hudson of Fernandina Beach, Florida; two brothers, Curtis Alexander of Kirkwood, Pennsylvania and Wayne Alexander of Chester, Virginia; and a grandson, Matthew Hurlocker.
Memorials may be sent to Epworth United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1030 Burrage Road NE, Concord, NC 28025.
