Carol Ann Parr Carlton's Obituary
Mrs. Carol Ann Parr Carlton, 77, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Monday, August 2, 2021, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Rick Duncan and Rev. L.J. Mills will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm Monday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carlton was born July 9, 1944 in Balty, VA. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Parr and Mildred Allen Parr Dodson. She was the Office Manager for Carlton Backhoe and Grading. Carol was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher in the nursery and the Ladies Class. Carol was family oriented to the max as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was always all about her grandchildren and loved making people happy. She loved her Lord very much and was faithful to him. Her last words to her husband were about how great she felt and that she didn't have any pain. She then started praising her Lord and that she was ready to "come home".
Carol is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Carlton; two daughters, Kimberly C. Dunnihoo and husband James of Concord and Sherry C. Deal and husband John of Bumpass, VA; son, Scott Carlton and wife Cindy of Saint Stevens Church, VA; sister, Rosemary O'Kelly of Richmond, VA; brother, Herbert A. Parr and wife Nancy of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren, Christian, Shannon, Stephanie, Zachary, Alex, Dillon and Aaron; and six great grandchildren, Brennan, Kinsley, Matthew, Finley, Everley and Nolan.
