Carrie Lee Tucker Walker's Obituary
Mrs. Carrie Lee Tucker Walker went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis.
Mrs. Walker was born May 20, 1924 in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Millard T. Tucker and Minnie Burris Tucker. She attended Oakboro High School. After she finished school, she came from Stanly County to Kannapolis, where she made her home. Mrs. Walker worked for over 40 years in the sewing room of Cannon Mills Plant One. She was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, where she loved her church family dearly. Carrie also greatly loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and entire family. One of her most enjoyable activities was her flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Nathan Eugene Walker; daughter, Vivian Pittman; son, Jerry Eugene Walker; grandson, Baby Pittman; sisters, Francis Ward, Violet Hinson, Pearl Dick, Christin MCCall and May Bell Smith.
Mrs. Walker is survived by son, Bruce Walker and wife Pat, of Mooresville; a brother, Tommie Tucker; sister, Hazel Tucker Whitley; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
