Catherine Elizabeth Hileman Chambers' Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Wilson Hileman Chambers, 88, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Kannapolis Church of God. Dr. Greg Sloop, Dr. John Taylor and Rev. Barbara Watkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Center Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 pm Sunday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Chambers was born on January 19, 1927 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Wilson and Julia Harris Wilson. She worked in the sewing room at Cannon Mills, jewelry department of Kmart and later the family owned business, KNI Industries. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry C. Hileman.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by her husband, Ralph Carlton Chambers; two children, Tona Hileman Green and son-in-law, Ron Green, of Concord and David Hileman and wife, Teresa, of Chester, VA; four grandchildren, Brynn Green, Jason Green and wife, Amanda, Paul Hileman and Andrew Hileman; two great grandchildren, Aerington Tate Green and Kasey Lu Hileman; and special lifelong friends, Marge Helms and her daughter, Brenda Huneycutt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Big Elm Ministries, 905 McKnight Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
