Catherine Smith Dennis' Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Smith Dennis, 92, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Concord Health and Rehab.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor LJ Mills will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Catherine was born February 22, 1932 in Royston, GA. She was a daughter of the late James Monroe Smith and Minnie Etta Parham Smith. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in the Sheet Department as a folder. When she was able, she attended Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Dennis, Jr.; sister, Hazel Lucille Cromer; brother, Gordon Smith; grandson, Christopher Merriman; and a great granddaughter, Aaliyah Freeze.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Allen (Herman) of Kannapolis; two grandchildren, Herman Allen, II (Beth) of Kannapolis and Britt Freeze (Jarrett) of Rockwell; five great grandchildren, Alexcis Cameron, Christopher Allen, Ryan Allen, Traydun Freeze and Chayd Freeze; and two great-great grandchildren, Amara Fritz and Lauralei Fritz.
