Cecil Carl Tucker's Obituary
Mr. Cecil Carl Tucker, 84, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Randy Mauldin will officiate. Interment will follow.
Mr. Tucker was born June 1, 1936 in Kannapolis. He was a son of the late Carl Clinton Tucker and Gennive Elizabeth Mills Tucker. He worked as a mechanic for Hilbish Ford for 30 years until retirement. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was dirt track car racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Boyd and Ted Tucker; sister, Ruby Tucker; and two brothers, Melvin and Jason Tucker.
Mr. Tucker is survived by wife, Phyllis Bowles Tucker; three daughters, Debbie Burris and husband Jim and Ava Tucker, both of Kannapolis and Donna Duffell and husband Steve of China Grove; son, Michael Tucker and wife Stephanie of Kannapolis; six grandchildren, Jeremy Burris, Kelly Pethel, Josh Duffell, Ashley Shinn, Erica Tucker and LeAnn Tucker; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews he loved.
