Charles William Brandon, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charles William Brandon, Sr., 89, of 596 Camrose Circle, Concord, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church in Concord. Dr. Todd Hobbie will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship house at First Presbyterian Church. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born June 18, 1915, in Leaksville Springs, he was a son of the late George Bagby Brandon and Lillian Suther Brandon. He was the retired personnel director for Cannon Mills. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and elder.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Norton Brandon; two sons, Charles William Brandon, Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Concord and Robert Norton Brandon and wife, Gloria, of Durham; two brothers, the Rev. Don Brandon of Knoxville, TN and Dr. Ralph Brandon of Punta Gorda, FL; three grandchildren, Peyton Maynard, Lilly Whorton and Katherine Brandon; and four great-grandchildren, Emma Maynard, Mary Grace Maynard, Jack Maynard and Charles Maynard.
