Robert Lahrmer
I am a friend of the family and it was my honor to have known Ms. Donahue.
I was privileged to sit at her table on many occasions and most of those times were filled with laughter, often at the expense of one of her sons.
She was sharp and witty with an inquisitive nature, always wanting to know what you were doing, where you were going or where you had been.
I remember once, I tried to get her sons in a bit of trouble by letting her know that a shutter had fallen off one of her windows and no one had fixed it.
That comment backfired on me quickly as she asked, "Well, what are you doing tomorrow?" to which I replied, "Well, Ms. Donahue, I guess I'll come over and fix your shutter" and I did.
The Donahue family is in my thoughts and prayers as we pay tribute to a beautiful person that gave us all so much joy and laughter.
